Join History Cambridge and the Cambridge School for Culinary Arts for a one-of-a-kind evening celebrating our city’s rich past through its iconic foods.
This isn’t your typical fundraiser. It’s a unique collaboration that offers you an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Cambridge School for Culinary Arts. You’ll get to see where the magic happens and enjoy live demonstrations from Chef Anthony, who will bring our city’s culinary history to life.
History Cambridge will guide you through this delicious journey, sharing fascinating stories about the local businesses and figures that have shaped our food culture—from the Tudor Ice Company and Joyce Chen Restaurants to NECCO and the legendary Julia Child. We’ll even explore the history behind the Porterhouse steak and the produce grown on North Cambridge’s 19th-century poor farms.
But this event is about more than just listening. It’s about you. We invite you to share your own memories and ask questions, making this a true community event. All the while, you’ll be savoring a selection of heavy hors d’oeuvres and supporting the vital work of History Cambridge.
Your attendance helps ensure that our collective past is not erased. At History Cambridge, we believe that your history matters, and we are dedicated to preserving it for future generations. Come mingle, learn, and build community with us. It’s a night you won’t forget!
