Under the direction of John Knutson, the Cuesta Choirs present an evening of classical and jazz choral music. Join us for this concert of wonderful tunes featuring music of Paul Simon and the Misa Criolla, and with special guests: Opera singers Olga Perez and Jamie Flora.
Voce will perform their beloved mix of jazz, pop, funk, and Brazilian arrangements by some of their best known and favorite “old friends,” including Paul Simon’s hit Old Friends.
The Cuesta Chamber Singers will perform the Misa Criolla, a remarkable modern version of the Roman Catholic Mass by Argentine composer Ariel Ramírez. Each section of this piece evokes a different element of South American indigenous folk music from Argentina and Bolivia.
