This exciting two-day hands-on workshop invites you into the cozy world of Cuddle® fabric using the powerful BERNINA L8 Series Sergers. Whether you are new to serging or an experienced sewist, you'll build confidence, learn new techniques, and leave inspired! Join our special guest instructor, Cuddle® Ambassador and seasoned sewist, Ajaire Parello. L8 Series Sergers will be available for use.
Attendees will Receive Special Machine Financing and Reimbursement for the Workshop Fee when Purchasing Any New Machine!
Lunch will be provided, and we'll also have a trunk show!
Class Details:
Day 1: Basics & Learn How to Make a Cuddle® Infinity Scarf.
The workshop begins with the essentials: how to handle, cut, and serge Shannon Fabrics’ signature Cuddle®. Attendees will explore the differences in fabric qualities and get a solid introduction to the BERNINA L8 Series Serger. Day 1 includes a beginner friendly take-home project which is an Infinity Scarf that everyone can wear home. This project builds comfort with key serging techniques.
Day 2: Perfect Skills & Learn How to Make a Cuddle® Throw Blanket & Pillow.
Participants complete two take-home projects: a soft, luxurious lap blanket and a coordinated envelope-style pillow including a Shannon Fabrics brand pillow form. These projects reinforce skills from Day 1 and introduce new techniques while offering beautiful, giftable results.
