Biographical Notes
Cuca Roseta, Vocals
Cuca Roseta is one of the most recognised and respected voices in fado today. With nine albums released in collaboration with some of the world’s most prestigious producers, the fado singer has built an exceptionally successful career, widely acclaimed by both the media and the public.
Having performed on Portugal’s most renowned stages, Cuca Roseta has also showcased her talent across more than 50 countries worldwide. Throughout her long-standing career, she has shared the stage with prominent international artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Bryan Adams, Ivan Lins, Julio Iglesias, Djavan, David Bisbal, Seu Jorge, and Zeca Pagodinho, among many others. She was also honoured to be the only Portuguese artist to perform for Popes Benedict XVI and Francis.
Recently, Cuca Roseta has continued to affirm her artistry with the release of two outstanding works. The year 2024 marked a special milestone in her career, celebrating 15 years with a major solo concert at Lisbon’s MEO Arena.
Cuca Roseta also has a strong presence on television, having served as a judge on popular RTP1 talent shows such as The Voice and Got Talent Portugal, contributing to the promotion of national musical and artistic talent.

Liao Yuan-Yu, Conductor
As one of the most prominent young conductors of our time, Liao currently serves as Resident Conductor of the Macao Chinese Orchestra and actively engages in the music scene with his passionate energy and open artistic vision. From 2021 to 2025, he held the position of Resident Conductor of the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra and Principal Conductor of Tianzi Chinese Orchestra. He recently serves as Music Director of Wuliang Yunxiang Film and Media Co., Ltd. in Sichuan, dedicated to promoting innovative ensembles that fuse Chinese and Western traditions with cross-genre instrumentation. He was awarded First Prize at The Third International Conducting Competition for Chinese Music and the Taiwan Outstanding Young Conductor Award, officially launching his conducting career, and has collaborated with orchestras in various regions. He believes that ‘passion inspires passion, and life influences life’, stepping onto the podium with wholehearted dedication and making music a way of engaging in dialogue with the world.
Macao Chinese Orchestra
Established in 1987, the Macao Chinese Orchestra upholds the tenet ‘embracing the world and promoting culture with an East-meets-West repertoire’. The orchestra has been presenting traditional Chinese music reflecting the spirit of the times, bringing excellent works to the audience and allowing the public to access the genre while promoting the city’s positive image to the world. The Macao Chinese Orchestra was the only local professional Chinese orchestra, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau. From 1 February, 2022, the orchestra has been managed by the Macao Orchestra Company, Limited, wholly owned by Macao’s Government. The orchestra’s current music director and principal conductor is Zhang Lie, a First-Class conductor from China.
