About the Dance!
What we know as “Salsa” today is derived from Son Cubano (also called Cuban Son, translated as “Cuban Sound”) - is a music genre and social dance.
It is a popular and elegant partner dance that originated in Cuba in the early 20th century. The dance is characterized by its smooth and flowing movements, with travelling steps. Movements are meant to reflect the rhythms and melodies of the music.
Prerequisite!
Completed Cuban Son Level 1A or proficient with the basics of Cuban Son
