About this Event
In this out-door cabaret event, Carlos del Pino (bassist) and his three-piece band Sones de Cuba (with percussionist Chico Alvarez and guitarist Ben Lapidus) perform in St Benedict's Courtyard, beginning at 7pm and ending (with a mid-show break) at 9pm. Doors open at 6.30pm. This Cuban music night, co-presented with the Cuban Cultural Center of New York, marks the last night of the exhibition Urban Narratives: Havana to New York, water-colors of old Havana by John Emmett Connors.
Cabaret-style seating. Complimentary drinks and Cuban hors d'oeuvres. In the event of rain, the event will be held indoors in Revelation Gallery. All proceeds go to the Cuban Cultural Center of New York (CCCNY). $15 general admission (which includes drinks and food) but $10 for members of CCCNY and parishioners of St John’s. All ticket prices give access on a first-come first-seated basis. No reserved seating. This event is open only to those who are fully vaccinated and can bring evidence of vaccination. Face-coverings are optional (both indoors and outdoors).
