Lecuona, one of the most celebrated composers, fused classical music with Cuban rhythms in masterpieces such as Malagueña and La Comparsa, captivating audiences worldwide. Compay Segundo, a master of the Cuban son, revitalised the genre globally through the Buena Vista Social Club, with classics like Chan Chan.
