About this Event
In the fading light of childhood, our Arrow of Light Scouts stand at the edge of something fierce and true. They've scraped their knees, built fires in the rain, and learned that dirt under fingernails means a day well lived. These kids—these wild, determined, unstoppable young souls—have earned every step toward this moment.
The ceremony pulls no punches. It's raw and real, like the wilderness they've come to know. They'll cross that bridge carrying more than badges and patches; they carry the grit of early morning hikes, the triumph of their first pocketknife cuts.... They've learned that leadership isn't about being perfect—it's about getting back up, about lending a hand when the trail gets steep.
We gather first to break bread, because that's what families do. Then as the day surrenders to dusk, we'll witness these Cubs—our Cubs—receive the Arrow of Light, that hard-earned symbol that marks them as ready for what comes next. The older Scouts from Troops 4 and 506 will be there, standing tall, ready to welcome these young warriors into their ranks.
This isn't just another ceremony with fancy words and polished wood. This is about kids who've learned to face the world head-on, who know the weight of a promise and the strength of a patrol. They started as Tigers, bright-eyed and uncertain. They'll end this night as Scouts, their heads held high, ready to write their own stories in the great book of adventure that awaits.
