CTSI presents 13 Jr.With a catchy rock score from Tony Award-winning composer, Jason Robert Brown, (Parade, The Last Five Years, The Bridges of Madison County) and a hilarious book by Tony winner Robert Horn (Tootsie, Shucked) and Dan Elish (13), 13 JR. tells a timeless story about fitting in - and standing out!
Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents' divorce. Now the new kid at school, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain... or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?!?
A true coming-of-age musical, 13 JR. is made especially for adolescents with a universal message about friendship and being true to yourself.
The cast of students, grades 6-8, is under the direction of Jennifer Dalto, with music direction by George Evans and choreography by Maria Rivers.
The show runs approximately 60 minutes with no intermission.
Tickets, available with reserved seating online at CTSIN.ORG at $16 for kids under 12 and $18 for 12 and up, will also be sold at the door prior to each performance.
