About this Event
ctrl+CLICK: Graphics & Animation For 5th-8th graders is a graphic design and motion graphics program for middle schoolers (rising 5th grade through completed 8th grade). The course is taught by B.I.G. staff alongside high school mentors who are veterans of Brookline Interactive's professional development in digital media internship. Participants will learn the principles of design, professional skills used in programs such as Canva and Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator and the ins and outs of animation. Each student will work on their own music video or to animate a part of the 1996 classic film, Matilda, as part of the Crowdsourced Boston project. Their work will premiere in our screening room on the last day of the workshop, as well be shown on the big screen at the Coolidge Corner Theater as part of the Crowdsourced Matilda screening in December!
ctrl+CLICK: Graphics & Animation For 5th-8th graders will take place on Mondays from 3:30pm-5:30pm on October 6, October 20-27, and November 3-17 (6 workshops total). No class on Indigenous People's Day.
All classes, including this workshop, are free to BIG Members!
