ctrl BRUTUS LIVE: Room 1 [Indie] [Dreampop]
miau.wav is an indie dreampop duo from Bucharest, Romania. The concept took shape in 2022, when Teddy and Mircea began writing music together in their kitchen in Berceni.
What started as an improvised home studio soon became a true passion — and miau.wav became the space through which Mircea and Teddy write, produce, mix, master, and illustrate their music independently.
Their sound blends electronic dance elements with the nostalgia of the ‘90s and 2000s, infused with touches of disco, funk, and R&B.
The single Last Days of Summer caught the attention of the local media with its unique sound in today’s Romanian music scene, earning airplay on Radio Guerrilla and Europa FM, and being featured in over 150 Spotify playlists, including Alternative Music Romania and New Music Friday on Apple Music.
