Meeting Point: Meet inside the libary, Art Library portion. Follow the stairs up to the mezzanine floor.
We'll start with a "Meet and Greet" at Cape Town Central Library, with some coffee. Here we can swap ideas on books and share what we have read. From there, those who have not yet, can register as members of the library and then explore their wonderful queer book selection with the rest of us.
Hopefully, some of us will be able to check out some fantastic queer literature. (And other)
Once you're done exploring and found some books, meet back at the coffee station to connect with fellow queer bookworms or make your way home.
If you have some spare queer books that you're open to exchanging, please bring them along.
Unwanted books can also be donated to the library, where others can have the pleasure of reading them.
This is a great event to attend on your own, even if you don't know anyone. And the perfect space to make new friends.
Please note: We use the term "Lesbian" as an inclusive umbrella term. It is a label that helps you find a community, not a prescription of who is allowed in this space. This group welcomes and celebrates all sapphics, women who love women (including bisexuals and pansexuals), and all trans and gender non-binary folk.
