Chris Frantz &Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads/Tom Tom Club) join host Dave "Zamboni" Schneider for an unforgettable night of amazing musicians/bands playing the songs from New York City's birthplace of punk and new wave CBGB's.
Where did Punk and New Wave begin? CBGB's! This night will celebrate the music that made history out of the dingy iconic club including songs by Talking Heads, The Ramones, Blondie, Television, Patti Smith, B-52's, Dead Boys and so much more. Meet the incredible band for the evening. John Pioli, Chris Cavaliere, Kenny Owens, Alex Swift will play and sing classic songs from the era and act as the house band for a group of amazing special guest vocalists. BONUS SUPER GUEST! Steph Paynes of Lez Zeppelin doing some sweet Pretenders tunes and doing an XTC block The Mommyheads with special guest Ken Mauri (B-52s touring member and all around sweet musical genius) Oh yeh, The Zambonis play too! But wait, other vocalist include Hazel Foley, Liz Ashkins, Matt Rhone, Brendan Toller, Dan soto, Greg Poore, Matt smith and more. The night will be hosted by Dave Zamboni and will feature a special appearance by the king and the queen of the NYC scene, Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth. This ain't your average tribute show.
