(In the CTCon calendar, the location is listed as "Photo Backup #2"--- Otherwise find us at the photo center on the second floor outside of the dealers hall/room) ^_^
Hope to see you there > w O
(Please also be sure to like the new official page for the photo shoot (also will be the page for "Anime Boston's Annual Neurodivergent/Disabled Photo Shoot" since both were founded by the same person) https://www.facebook.com/OfficialCTConDisabledCosplayersPhotoShoot )
----------
This is a specialized photoshoot was founded and is still co-hosted by a cosplayer who has her/their own disabilities and cognitive health daily.
This is a safe space for any cosplayers with any type of disability and/or cognitive health diagnosis. We also allow their friends and family to join them if they wish for them to.
We welcome all ages to come to the photoshoot.
Please keep in mind the following (since some things may have changed since the 4th/3rd Shoot):
> Cosplaying is NOT REQUIRED-- We've had those in the shoot that didn't dress up in cosplay at all.
Whether it's Japanese Lolita fashion, another type of alternative aesthetic (goth, punk, emo, urban, etc.), or another type of apparel style.
No problem ^-^
Even if you are just wearing costume ears with your outfit, you are still welcome to join!
> We (the hosts and attendees) are NOT professionals in any of the fields we can only speak from our own experiences.
> We (the hosts and attendees) are NOT required to reveal any/or of their diagnosis.
if they wish to you can reveal it with us.
> NO ONE can force someone/you (teen, child(ren), adult, family members, friends) to take pictures.
This is again a safe space for a many reasons.
We can only offer/kindly encouragement to join.
If they/you need a break from over stimulation no problem--We get it 100%

> We will be following CTCon's guidelines due to COVID as well.
(please wear your mask over your mouth AND nose (unless otherwise--asthma for example) and if you aren't feeling well please leave so you don't risk others health and may make yours worse)
> This is also a safe space for LGBTQIA+ indiviuals with disabilities/cognigtive health.
You are also not required to reveal your identiy/orientation.
Nor is anyone allowed to force you.
HOWEVER if you have any specific pronouns.
Please don't hesitate to share them with us. So we can respect another part of who you are.
We want to make this a safe space for you as well.
After all receiving acceptance and respect for our disabilities and/or cognitive health is a challenge already.
(the mentioned above founder and co-host's pronouns are she/they)
(If you are uncomfortable with and unaccepting of those who are LGBTQAI+ (even if you have a/any disability and/or cognitive health diagnosis--Do NOT come to this shoot)

Bullying & Harrassment:
If we catch you bullying/harassing someone at the shoot.
You WILL risk getting reported to security and forced to leave the premises.
(depending on the situation you'll get a a warning to stop).
Any form of bullying, harassment, hate, etc. is NEVER tolerated--Even outside of convetions!
(or more like it shouldn't be tolerated no matter what/where/who you are)

Let's have fun and safe time this year
