About this Event
This all day in-person event will give CSP members the opportunity to explore every aspect of diversity in the profession.
This event will be valuable for all Members (students, associates and full members including private practitioners and NHS workers).
Together we will explore the diversity of roles in the profession, including career progression, non-clinical roles and different specialisms and what needs to happen to boost our workforce post-pandemic and improve the diversity of the workforce so that it better reflects the diversity of the patient population. This includes improving student representation, promoting the profession to the next generation, the development of the support worker workforce and
We will then delve into tackling health inequalities. What do we need to to to make access to treatment equitable? What are the barriers? What needs to change.
Speakers will showcase what is happening already and inspire plans for the future with interesting case studies that will provide valuable insight. We plan to involve stakeholders and charities in the presenter line-up.
The CSP West Midlands network is also delighted to welcome CSP CEO Karen Middleton to give the keynote presentation and highlight the work of the CSP as a professional and trade union in delivering the Equity, Diversity and Belonging strategy.
