Noa Levy: You, Me & Cole-Noa Levy Sings the Cole Porter Songbook
About this Event

Described by JAZZIT Magazine as a “vocalist at the same time classic and contemporary,” rising San Francisco songbird Noa Levy’s love affair with Porter’s repertoire began with her critically acclaimed and audience-favorite Bass & Voice album debut, “You Me & Cole” featuring “Ten expertly rendered selections” (NY Jazz Records) arranged with Japanese bassist Shimpei Ogawa.

For this special concert, Noa joins forces with Art Khu (piano), Daniel Fabricant (bass), Dillon Vado (drums) and Patrick Wolff (Sax) to bring to life these unique arrangements with a full band. You’ll hear Porter’s masterpieces, like “Night & Day,” “Love for Sale,” and “I Get a Kick Out of You,” so get set for a de-lovely evening of a vibrant and heartfelt tribute to Porter’s rich musical legacy.

Art Khu is a multifaceted musician who has carved a niche for himself in the music world with his exceptional talent on a variety of instruments. His journey began at a young age, and over the years, he has honed his skills on the piano, organ, guitar, and bass, blossoming into a vibrant career spanning over 35 years.

Dillon Vado is an active professional drummer and vibraphonist in the San Francisco Bay Area. His performance experiences include playing in the South Bay scene at venues like the Art Boutiki, and Cafe Stritch, marching snare drum with the Santa Clara Vanguard, recording at Fantasy Studios, and playing with other professionals at The Freight and Salvage, among other locations.

Daniel Fabricant may be the most versatile bassist in San Francisco—and the most in-demand. Playing upright or electric, he can adapt to a wide range of musical settings, from intimate chamber groups to sprawling dance bands and Latin ensembles.

Patrick Wolff is a saxophone and clarinet player with a long history in the jazz scenes of New York City and San Francisco. A passionate jazz educator and advocate, his playing is characterized by a focus on lyricism and an embrace of the whole lineage of jazz styles.

  • This is a free community concert and seating is first-come, first-served. Seating is limited.

  • Performances and screenings in Tateuchi Hall are suitable for ages 7 and up. To ensure the best experience for all guests, children should be able to sit quietly during the performance (approx. one hour).

  • CSMA’s 2024-25 Community Concert Series is supported by the Applied Materials Foundation and the Rotary Club of Los Altos. Thank you to our sponsors!
