We invite all recorder players to join this year's CSM Recorder Day. This will be a day of playing the recorder in small group sessions with a tutor, 'a big blow', and a concert featuring all participants and our guest tutor. We are very excited that Wellington based recorder player Kamala Bain will be our guest tutor, and will work with all groups. Kamala is an international and national recorder performer and teacher. Date and Venue : 9.00 am - 5 pm Saturday 28 September, Avonhead Primary School
Programme : The programme will interperse group/ensemble sessions and with breaks for refreshments, "letting off steam" time for the children participating, and a 'big blow' where we all play together. The day's programme concludes with a concert at 4.00 pm featuring Kamala and groups playing the music they have worked on.
Music: Music for groups and the 'big blow' will be supplied and sent out after registrations so that participants can familiarise themselves with their parts. If you have something you would really like to play, please let us know.
Who should come? Everyone! Players are grouped according to their level, from early players to the more advanced adult ensembles.
Junior ensemble - learning for 1-2 years
Intermediate ensemble - learning for 3-5 years
Senior ensemble - advanced players with some ensemble experience
Cost: $25 per player, with discounts for families with more than one player;
$40 for two players from a family
$60 for three or more players from a family
