To live is to be immersed in comedy, since we laugh at much more than just jokes. Funny accidents told in stories, anecdotes from scorned ex-lovers and songs about the rising cost of living are all things we can find humor in, even though they may not be the setup-punchline we're so used to hearing. Born from comedian Jack Nugget's desire to highlight humor and how it manifests in different forms of art, Jokes of All Trades is a comedic open mic, hosted every other Wednesday night, for people looking to share funny ideas and stories in any medium of their choice. Songs, stories, scenes, improv plays, traditional stand-up and performance art of any kind that is comedic are all welcomed!
As a multi-medium performer himself, your host Jack Nugget will take you through an odyssey of jokes, stories, skits, crowd work, songs either he wrote or parodied, rap verses and many more surprises that will keep you entertained enough to never ask for your money back. Mainly because the event is free, and so is one drink at the bar, if you're brave enough to perform.
