Formed in 1978 by brothers Andy and Mick McGrath, Crux made their debut on vinyl on A Country Fit For Heroes which was released on No-Future Records on January 30th 1982.
The track was the classic anthem CLA which stood for Camphill Liberation Army - an area of Nuneaton were they came from.
Their next release was a split 12" again on No -Future Records [with a band called the Samples]. Each had 4 tracks - the Crux tracks were; Keep on Running, Streets at Night, Brighton Front and I'll Die With My Boots On which was released on December 11th 1982.
The classic Liddle Towers song was on the 'Oi, Oi That's Yer Lot' album which was released on Secret Records also in 1982. The band split up in 1984 and have since reformed for a couple of one off tribute gigs. One in 2009 for an old mate of the band, -Milly- who sadly had passed away.

They have had offers for years to reform as well as an offer for them to play LA Punk Invasion next March 2025 alongside The Exploited, UK Subs, Chelsea, Dead Boys, Peter and the Test Tube Babies and many more. The band will be playing Rebellion punk festival in Blackpool 2025, Cream of the Crop festival, and maybe more!
