About this Event
Not the apocalyptic Robert Frost poem, nor the fantasy Game of Thrones or even the Afro-pop group, but live, real and on the stage of 17Nineteen, Dr. Jeremy Dearlove will take us to Iceland, the very real original world of ice and fire.
Together we will explore the geology of that amazing land. Dr. Dearlove has worked throughout the UK in a diverse range of capacities in the sectors of geochemistry, environmental geology and hydrogeology. With him we will trudge up sulphurous volcanoes and descend into fiery cracks in the earth’s mantle and emerge unscathed, while seated in the 17Nineteen aka the historic Holy Trinity. And remember this, when the end of the world comes it won’t be with a bang or even a whimper but with a nice cup of coffee and a scone!
Schedule:
1pm: Arrive and grab a seat, coffee/tea and scones will be available at the coffee bar.
