Cruise #2 2:15 PM: History of Palatka and the St. John’s River will be guided by Rob Mattson, river scientist. Director of the Bartram Trail Society and Putnam County Historical Society. Learn about the humble begnnings of our riverfront community and our recognition of National History fame. Rob will discuss the nature of the of the St. Johns River and why Palatka is Florida's orginal tourist destination.
Rules and Procedures:
1. Registration is required and by seat number. The eight (8) forward seats hold three (3) adults. The rear eight seats have tables per two seats and will be seated with two Adults per seat (children can be seated with a parent as well). Seating. for Cruises 1, 2, and 3 are limited to 40.
2. Departing times allow for on/off loading. Cruises 1,2, and 3 are approximately 45 minutes each on the river (after loading). Schedules will be followed in a timely manner and will not wait for latecomers. Missed cruises are not refundable and can only be replaced on next cruises #2 and #3, space available.
3. No food is allowed, water or clear beverages in sealed containers are allowed.
4. All riders must be ambulatory. The boat does not have storage room for walkers, etc. ( a limited number may be able for keeping at the main tent.
- Children’s life jackets are available if needed. Children must remain seated at all times. May sit on a parent’s lap, but still needs ticket/seat assignment.
