1) I will be accepting Names & Cabin #'s of those who want to participate through Feb 1st, 2026 or when the max # of cabins have been reached. 2) We need a minimum of 10 cabins to make this happen and a maximum of 20 cabins. The absolute ONLY reason for the limit on cabins is due to time and space. Nobody wants to spend the whole cruise searching up and down hallways for room numbers..lol After 20 cabins it begins to feel like work not fun.
3) I will make a post in this event requesting participants. Just need the first names of those in the cabin, cabin # and if you are celebrating anything special. One gal in our exchange added special gifts to the bags of those celebrating. I personally did 1 of each item for each guest in a cabin, rather than 1 bag shared between 2,3 or 4 cruisers, I had 1 bag with 4 of everything in it. You DO NOT have to do that of course; it was just my thing..lol
4) If and when we reach 20 cabins, I will create a short waiting list in case a cabin would have to remove themselves for any number of reasons.
5) Don't worry if you think there's a possibility of upgrading. We won't leave your gift at the wrong room. On Embarkation Day, You will have till 6pm to message me, comment on the post, hell send smoke signals but let me know your cabin number change and I will update the list in this event. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK BACK ON THE LIST AFTER 6PM on Embarkation Day to verify room numbers in case anyone upgraded at port.
6) Remember you are exchanging with all cabins participating. Example: If we have 20 cabins sign up, including myself, so there's 19 plus me. I will need to put together 19 gift bags and i will receive 19 gift bags. It's really that simple.
7) Please don't start delivering gifts til after 6pm on Embarkation Day the 27th and conclude delivery prior to 9pm on the 3rd of March.
And please, if you can't or aren't going to gift others, don't sign up thinking you can get gifts from everyone and not gift back. It's not fair to those actually participating and someone else may have wanted your spot that would participate. This is just something fun to do we aren't gifting diamonds and gift cards...lol I ask that everyone put FROM Cabin # **** on their gifting bags somehow. If it is determined someone received but didn't gift I WILL PUT YOU ON BLAST WHEN I RETURN HOME so others who organize these exchanges can keep you off their list..lol
That's it, That's all there is to it.
So, here's the jist of it...I'm ONLY deciding to head this up because we are sailing for my granddaughter's 15th birthday the 28th! It's her 1st ever cruise and she gets to turn 15 on a sea day. My thinking is, delivering goodie bags will give he and her friend something fun to do, kind of like ding dong ditch without the ding dong, well except her and her friend..lol
I participated in one of these on the Islander back in Oct, and I gotta tell ya, it's a lot of fun. Coming back to your cabin after dinner or waking up in the morning and finding a bag of goodies hanging on your door. The possibilities of what to give or receive are endless! You realize how many other cruisers thought the same thing you did or how outside the box and "why didn't I think of that." If you're thinking you'd like to get involved but have no idea what to put in your bags to gift there are many, many videos on YOUTUBE. Just search Cruise Cabin Gift Exchange.
Items can be anything you choose and there is NO minimum $ amount to spend per bag. Folks that have a direct marketing business or home business take advantage of this! Are you a home baker? Add some cookies and a card, Scentsy vendors drop us a sample and a card, you get the idea. Snacks, cruise themed items, bubble packs of tylenol, motion sickness patches, towel bands, ducks you name it. Again, YOUTUBE! lol but be careful because YT gave me SOOO many ideas I almost had to pay for additional luggage.. We flew in so I packed everything tightly in my luggage and the 1st night in the cabin my hubs and I assembled the bags. We delivered them 5 per day over 3 days at random times. And no one flaked, everyone who signed up participated! That's what I call successfully adulting.
