Crossing the Finish Line: Curating and Documenting Prints

This course will cover methods of curating, editioning, finishing, and documenting prints. Students will learn how to cut and tear paper, sign and edition prints, clean up scuff marks, fill in mis-registration, repair dents and folds, and back prints. We will also cover methods of documenting your prints using smartphones, natural light, and low-cost, accessible tools.
Students will need to bring a selection of 5-10 completed prints to work on (of any printing medium) and will leave with them fully curated and documented. Instructors will also bring examples to show different techniques.
