Join us for an unforgettable discussion with Maureen Buick, author of Finding Bomb Boogie: A Daughter’s Search to Rediscover her Father—the World War II Bomber Boy, Prisoner of War & American Veteran.Maureen, a retired registered nurse with a deep passion for World War II history, embarked on a journey to uncover her father, TSgt Donald L. Hayes's wartime experiences. Her travels took her across Europe, including stops in Germany, Poland, Great Britain, Panama, and Austria, culminating in a poignant visit to Stalag 17B, the POW camp where he was held.
We’re also excited to welcome MSgt Walter Ram, who was interned at Stalag 17B during the same period. At 100 years young, Walter is a docent at the 390th Memorial Museum.
