About this Event
Chorus creates community. It brings together people from diverse backgrounds to share in making music, and whether you’re on stage or in the audience, you feel a connection to everyone around you as we experience the power of voices raised together in song.
Join us for the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh’s second annual CrosSING Bridges Choral Festival on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 4pm in the newly renovated Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland. Mendelssohn will share the stage once again with The Heritage Gospel Chorale of Pittsburgh (Dr. Herbert V.R.P. Jones, director) and Coro Latinoamericano Pittsburgh (Lourdes Santiesteban, director), and we welcome our new choral partner, the Pittsburgh Pride Choir (Dr. Kym Scott, director). You’ll hear music from varied music traditions representing communities across Pittsburgh, and you’ll witness over 200 voices coming together to show all that collaboration can accomplish.

Finding the Carnegie Music Hall
From the parking lot
Once in the parking lot, make sure you are at the top level where you can see the Museum building. Next to the outdoor Sculpture Garden, there is a large glass entryway to the Museum of Art with power assist doors. Pass the security desk and take the elevator or stairs to the first floor of the Museum. Follow the path to your left down the length of the building. You will pass the Museum stores, the Halls of Sculpture and Architecture, and another security desk before arriving at the Music Hall Foyer. This entire path is physically accessible.
Drop-offs:
If you are being dropped off at the Music Hall, use the Carriage Drive entrance on Forbes Avenue. On the right-hand side of Forbes, just past the large Music Hall doors and where the Natural History Museum’s entrance is located, there is a half-circle, one-way driveway that can be used for drop-offs. Once inside the lobby, head to your right into the Music Hall Foyer. This drop-off location is physically accessible.
