
About this Event
Want to learn how to cross stitch, brush up on your cross stitching skills or hang out with fellow stitchers? This is the workshop for you!
The instructor, Katherine, is the museum’s science and nature program coordinator who loves to do cross stitch and crochet in her free time. She will share her cross stitch knowledge with participants and guide them through completing a simple design. In this class, participants will learn the basics of cross stitch and take home a completed project.
Cross stitching can be used to create framed designs, patches and fun adornments for clothing items and more (like qr code patches to Rick Roll your friends).
Schedule:
10am- Welcome and Check-in
10:30am- Cross stitching time!
12pm- Wrap-up and social time
Participants will take home the following:
-Cross stitch needle, thread, hoop and completed design
-Resources to continue cross stitching
-A kit to take home
-A pattern of your choice to continue your cross stitch journey
The workshop is on May 3rd from 10am to 12pm.
Ages 12+ and all skill levels are welcome.
