Brian Fleming is a traditional percussionist, theatre maker and festival director, originally from Dublin, living the Wild Atlantic dream in Co Clare. He has played in over 30 countries, recorded on over 50 albums and performed with musicians such as Davy Spillane, Mamady Keita and The Chieftains.
Brian is credited in the Guinness Book of World Records 2001 as one of the creators of the Millennium Drum, the world’s largest drum. He is the writer and performer of three successful one-man shows, ‘Gis a Shot of Your Bongos Mister,’ ‘Have Yis No Homes To go To?’ and ‘A Sacrilegious Lesbian and Homosexual Parade,’ nominated for awards on both sides of the Atlantic.
He has worked extensively in theatre, including with The Abbey Theatre, Macnas, Donal O Kelly, Barabbas, Coiscéim, Catherine Young Dance and Dance Theatre of Ireland.
The Quarter Dozen is an instrumental trio from Limerick blending traditional, classical, jazz, and Latin influences into original compositions.
