Men Who Paint’s Cross Canada Art ProjectSaskatoon will be featured in the Cross-Canada Art Project by painters Cam Forrester, Greg Hargarten, Paul Trottier, Ken Van Rees and Roger Trottier.
The group, collectively known as the Men Who Paint, have painted and exhibited across Canada and will be in Saskatoon for an exhibition at Willows Golf and Country Club October 25th and 26th.
The Cross-Canada Exhibition features over 70 plein air and studio paintings inspired by their adventures in the renowned and the remote parts of this Canada.
The Saskatchewan-based artists are on a mission to paint all of the country and capture the iconic and the isolated areas of Canada on canvas.
Their extensive Cross-Canada travels have seen them paint at locations including the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, the ancient villages of Haidi Gwaii in British Columbia, the northern shield and southern badlands of Saskatchewan, Ontario’s storied Algonquin Park and Georgian Bay, Newfoundland’s Gros Morne National Park and Great Northern Peninsula, Yukon’s Ivvavik National Park, the Beaufort Sea, Ellesmere Island, and most recently Jasper National Park.
Know for depicting the essence of the Canadian experience with their vibrant, expressive, and evocative paintings, the Men Who Paint have been called ambassadors of the great Canadian landscape. They have had their works displayed in galleries across Canada and abroad.
The Men Who Paint exhibition is free to the public, and all are welcome to attend.
