What is Crop Swap. Crop Swap values the ethos of ‘give with generosity and take mindfully’. We come together to share the abundance of what we have with others. This is how it works. Arrive just before it starts and put your things on tables and tarps for others to see and have access to. Chat, mingle and view. There will be a brief introduction and welcome. Also there will be space for anyone who wishes to explain what they have bought along. After introductions we mindfully take a ‘little bit of this and a little bit of that’. Clean up and head home with any leftovers or donate to our Food pantry.Looking for inspiration on what to bring to the Crop Swap? Here are some great ideas!
Fresh Produce – Bring extra fruits and veggies from your garden.
Seedlings & Plants – Share young plants, seedlings, or cuttings.
Herbs & Flowers – Offer fresh herbs, edible flowers, or flowering plants.
Eggs & Dairy – Free-range eggs or homemade dairy products are always welcome.
Preserves & Jams – Swap your homemade chutneys, relishes, jams, or pickles.
Baking & Recipes – Bring baked goods, sourdough starters, or favourite recipes.
Gardening Books & Magazines – Share resources you no longer need.
Gardening Tools & Gear – Spare tools make great swaps.
This will be a wonderful way to meet new people, share knowledge and distribute garden ‘stuff’
