Croissants and Sip event at The Little Fox Café and Bakery.

Please join us for another fun event to learn ho to make authentic French croissants through a “hands-on” class while enjoying a cocktail of your choice from a list especially curated by the café owner-operator, Cat Hudson.

Your 3 hour class will start at 5:30p but doors will open at 5p for social hour and a chance to make a food purchase.

Discovering the Art of Making French Croissants

Please join us for a three hour class to learn how to make authentic French croissants from scratch.

Alain Marec, your instructor, is a French born food scientist and home baker who will teach you how to create a wonderful batch of French croissants and pain au chocolat.

During the class, you will create your own croissants and/or pains au chocolat and go through all the steps including: making the détrempe (dough), beurre de tourrage (butter block), laminating, practicing the simple folds, dividing the dough, shaping, proofing and baking your croissants/pains au chocolat..

While the process is three days long, through the “TV magic” method, we will be able to explore and practice every step of the process.

Students will go home with:

⁃ A minimum of 6 Croissants or pains au chocolat (chocolate croissants) that they will have personally shaped and baked during the class.

⁃ A proofing laminated dough to shape into croissants and bake the next day at home.

⁃ A hand out of the presentation given in class and your instructor contact information for troubleshooting.

⁃ A newfound skill and hobby.
