About this Event
The Transformative Education Network is thrilled to announce that Brian Jones, educator, author, and public scholar, will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming October 16th Critical Urban Education (CUE) Speaker Series. Known for his insightful work on race, history, and education, Jones brings a powerful voice to the urgent conversation about the role of Black history in our schools and our society.
In Black History Is for Everyone, Jones reflects on the current attacks against teaching Black history and the deeper truths these efforts seek to suppress. Drawing on his experiences as both a classroom teacher and lifelong learner, he will guide attendees through a critical exploration of how history can challenge our assumptions, reveal larger forces shaping our world, and open our imaginations to alternate futures.
