A workshop helping leaders to understand that driving for results and being a compassionate leader are not mutually exclusive options.
About this Event

Across almost every industry, businesses and bottom lines have been negatively and significantly impacted by the global pandemic, which has potentially put even more pressure on leaders to deliver results. And yet, the same global pandemic has also wreaked havoc on businesses’ most precious asset- its people. Leaders need to make adjustments and accommodations for their teams in compassionate and thoughtful ways that still enable them to drive for results. Join us for this 2-day workshop where we help leaders understand that driving for results and being a compassionate leader are not mutually exclusive options.

IN THIS WORKSHOP, PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN

• Advantages and disadvantages of various feedback models

• Tactics for how to actively listen to employees and customize communication styles

• Tools for delivering timely, specific and meaningful feedback

KEY THEMES

• Build a culture of compassionate feedback by normalizing the giving and receiving of feedback

• Express gratitude with specificity when people exceed expectations

• Consistently reinforce the why behind the what in communications

• Identify opportunities to collaborate on how the goals are

• Actively solicit input and respond to feedback on how the work gets achieved

• Prepare and practice challenging conversations and ensure follow-up

• Demonstrate and invite appropriate levels of vulnerability in conversations

To ensure cross industry representation, we ask that organizations send up to two individuals to a workshop. If your organization is interested in having more individuals participate, we can work with you to create a customized solution to meet your needs and goals.

Typically, the fee for this program is $300. However, thanks to the generosity of the Institute’s philanthropic donors, we are proud to offer this program for $50.
