About this Event

Critical Care Hands-On Procedure workshop provides hands-on skills instruction which will focus on central venous catheter insertion, high-fidelity simulation training, intubation, and management of mechanical ventilation. Instruction of central venous catheter insertion will include the opportunity to utilize ultrasound to practice mannequin cannulation and exposure to vascular access devices (CVC, Dialysis catheter, and introducer catheter), will be emphasized. Instruction on intubation will emphasize bag mask ventilation, direct laryngoscopy, and video laryngoscopy. Instruction on management of mechanical ventilation will be interactive and will utilize ventilators to demonstrate the effects of various ventilator modes.
