Public Safety Dogs, Inc., founded in 2003 by Mike Craig and Linda Dunn as Canines for Kids, Inc., initially focused on donating scent-discriminating dogs to law enforcement agencies across the United States. These highly trained dogs assist in tracking missing persons and fleeing suspects, saving departments time, money, and manpower while enhancing officer safety. In 2007, the organization expanded its offerings to include school resource dogs for detecting guns, ammunition, and drugs, as well as specialized dogs for cadaver and arson detection. Renamed Public Safety Dogs, Inc., to reflect its broader mission, the organization now provides these valuable canines to various public safety entities, including fire departments and campus security, meeting diverse needs with precision and expertise.
