Join us for a day trip to the International Slavery Museum, Liverpool for a curator led tour of the museum.
About this Event

CRER's Black History trip to Liverpool to visit the International Slavery Museum. Adapted from the award winning Transatlantic Slavery Gallery, the International Slavery Museum is located in Liverpool’s Albert Dock, at the centre of a World Heritage site and only yards away from the dry docks where 18th century slave trading ships were repaired and fitted out.

Join Miles Greenwood (Lead Curator of Transatlantic Slavery & Legacies) and Zofia Kufeldt (Curator of Contemporary Histories) for a tour of the International Slavery Museum. This will be an opportunity to hear about the current curatorial work happening as part of the Waterfront Transformation Project.

There will also be time to explore the museum outside of the tour.

Please let us know if you any access requirements. Find out more about the facilities provided at the museum here: https://www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/international-slavery-museum/access-and-facilities.

The International Slavery Museum will close in early 2025 for a major development which will see its displays refreshed and spaces expanded, so this could be your last chance to see the Museum in its current form before it reopens.
