About this Event
Creative problem solving and innovation are frequently cited as key skills lacking in even the most talented workplaces. The challenge: people worry about making mistakes and trying out new ideas in case they break the rules but breaking the rules is what disruption is all about.
By understanding some useful techniques to challenge thinking, create more curiosity, and how to turn thinking into action. You can develop teams and individuals who are innovative and problem solvers – knowing what to do – when you don’t know what to do.
This session will help you explore further what supports creative and innovative thinking and what blocks it. Using creative techniques in this interactive workshop to illustrate problem solving tricks and tips. This session will explore:
- Exploring what creativity and innovation is
- Mindsets that help & hinder and how to create a culture for creative thinking
- Tools and techniques for creative thinking in the moment and bigger strategic thinking
About Laughology:
NO JARGON, NO DEATH-BY-POWERPOINT. JUST FUN, EFFECTIVE PRACTICAL TECHNIQUES FOR BETTER WORKPLACE WELLBEING, HAPPINESS & GROWTH
Thier team of training experts are passionate about creating happier workplaces and improving people’s potential. They do this through a mix of fun activities that bring learning to life ( ‘the Laugh’) and science based behavioural change methodology (‘the ology).
Their unique method of delivery means people absorb learning and buy in to the behaviour change because it feels good. And if something feels good, us humans are more likely to repeat it.
They know our stuff, their people have ology’s and whilst they might not take themselves too seriously they are serious about happy people, places and customers.

About Women in Construction - Sussex:
As part of ECE's dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion, we started the Women In Construction Sussex working group. The aim of the group is to create a supportive network and to empower women throughout their careers. Through events, panel discussions and workshops, we aim to showcase women’s achievements in construction and architecture, to inspire the next generation to pursue careers in a traditionally male-dominated field.
