About this Event
CreativeMornings is the world's largest face-to-face organization for the creative community. There are 143 chapters in nearly 70 countries around the world. The CreativeMornings Milwaukee chapter was reawakened in January of 2024!
Since then, we've been gathering the third Friday of every month in venues across Milwaukee's zipcodes to listen to unique keynote speakers, dozens of mini community spotlights, and enjoy coffee & pastries all with great company. People leave the events feeling inspired, more connected to one another, and like they've properly "networked" without feeling "too networky." (We're proud of that.)
When co-hosts Annie Werner and Kelly Gehringer took this endevour on, they were determined to build the chapter in a way that is sustainable for years to come. With this being an entirely volunteer-led team and 100% free event to attend, many chapters unfortunately close after some time due to burnout and lack of resrources. After careful consideration (and lots of zoom calls with other chapter hosts), Annie and Kelly decided to form an official 501(c)(3) to financially support CreativeMornings/MKE. The name of the nonprofit is "Good Land Gatherings" and with your contributions, we intend to continue gathering in the good land of Milwaukee every third Friday with joy.
Where does the money go you ask? Well, 100% of our earnings go directly back to all things CreativeMornings. There are some backend updates we'd like to make (like increase DropBox storage for our videographers!) and marketing swag we'd love to get off the ground (proper event-day signage for one). We'd also like to be in a position to weave CreativeMornings/MKE into the fabric of Milwaukee more, and some of that costs money.
We love this community so much and feel so lucky to be in your company. Here's to a wonderful first year of reawakening & to more early mornings in 2025.
What to expect
Dress up or dress down, just be ready to boogie. We will have great tunes, light appetizers, and a raffle auction! Your ticket includes a drink ticket (house wine, draft beer, NA options). The bar is open for any additional purchases you'd like to make too.
