Theme: Growth
Creativity demands growth. Not the kind that can be measured with a ruler. It’s about taking stock of your character. Who’s ready to chase wild possibilities and meaningful progress? We must unlearn the need to be perfect and busy. Remember how to play and get our hands dirty again.
November's theme was chosen by our Sacramento chapter in California, illustrated by Amber Rankin, and presented by Adobe.

Our Speaker: Wil Dort
Immigrating from Haiti in 1997, Wil is known as North Dakota’s “First Black Barber.” He peddled a purple bike from a Cass County jail cell to Moler Barber College in downtown Fargo in 2006. Sheer motivation, dedication, and faith instilled in Wil by the Jail Chaplains, he has conquered the odds of going from Fargo’s Most Wanted to one of Fargo’s most successful entrepreneurs.
Wil, his brothers AJ and Louima, along with two other owners serve the Fargo / Moorhead community with unending passion. They aren't your typical barbershop or salon and don't aspire to be. Once you visit them, you'll understand why people drive from all areas of the tri-state region to sit in their chairs.

What is CreativeMornings?
CreativeMornings is a free monthly lecture series designed for creative communities. The concept is simple: a short talk one Friday morning a month.
Fargo's chapter started back in 2018. Our monthly event takes place on a Friday from 8:00am - 9:30am. It allows individuals to enjoy creative connections, inspire community, and create opportunities. Open to everyone, free, and hosted at the Plains Art Museum in downtown Fargo.

Who is CreativeMornings for?
Everyone is creative. A creative life requires bravery and action, honesty and hard work. We bring together people who are driven by passion and purpose, confident that they will inspire one another, and inspire change in our community. Everyone is welcome 😊
