One of the greatest challenges for writers is producing a first draft. It’s easy to overthink the process of putting words on the blank page, which can lead to procrastination or writer’s block. In this workshop, you will produce at least one first draft of a story or poem. We will use generative writing prompts to explore our military experiences, from meeting with a recruiter for the first time to deploying to combat zones to coming home.The workshop will be facilitated by local veteran author Kevin Basl, who has taught art and writing to the military community for over ten years.
