Are you interested in creative writing but don't know where to start?

Are you a creative writer in need of community?

Are you working on a long-term writing project and miss the joy of writing for fun?

Are you interested in exploring something new in your writing?

As a trained creative writing workshop leader, I believe that writing is a gift accessible to all people. I also value the importance of a supportive writing community and writing as a form of self-care and joy.

In these workshops, we will have 20-30 minutes to write, using thought-provoking, original prompts. You are also free to ignore the prompt and write on a topic of your choice. At the end of the writing period, you have the option to read your writing aloud. No critiques will be given, only positive feedback.

PLEASE NOTE:

We will meet in front of 72 rue Riquet before going upstairs on an elevator, which is only accessible with a key. You will not be able to enter late.

Please arrive no later than 10:45am, which is 15 minutes before start time so that we can enter together and start promptly.

If your map takes you to the parking garage, walk to the corner away from the canal and turn right on rue Riquet. You should see a group gathering there (unless you're there first, of course...in which case, you made it and you won't be alone for long!)

Because I would have to go downstairs to let you in and because using the buzzer would interrupt the session, potentially distracting those in the middle of writing, I cannot welcome you if you are late. Being on time will also allow us to make the most of our two hours together.
