Join us for a fresh season of free, informal writing workshops at Exeter Library! These sessions welcome writers of all levels and genres, providing a nurturing space to explore new ideas, build your skills, and share your work in a supportive group. Each session brings a unique theme, encouraging you to experiment with different forms and topics. Whether you're new to writing or a seasoned wordsmith, there's something here for everyone! 20th February - Place & Settings
Learn how to build immersive worlds and vivid settings that transport your readers. Discover how location can influence mood, characters, and plot in your writing.
6th March - Poetry
Get ready to experiment with rhythm & rhyme in this fun workshop with Chris & Nat. This session dives into the joy of poetry, helping you capture thoughts and emotions in powerful, compact way. Very demure. Very fun.
20th March - Nature
Tap into the beauty of nature and its symbolic power in literature. Through guided exercises, you'll explore how to bring the natural world to life in your writing.
3rd April - Short Stories
Discover the craft of short fiction! This workshop will cover techniques for structuring concise, compelling stories, from crafting characters to delivering impactful endings. With Chris & Nat.
