About this Event
Set on a beautiful old farm among barns, woodland, meadow, ponds and an orchard. This course is suitable for beginners and improvers alike as you will receive individual creative guidance and tips, helping you to complete your work to take home.
During the day, and mainly writing outdoors, in a wonderful, rural setting, each participant will be guided to write a poem, the opening to a nature-inspired short story and a non-fiction description of an aspect of nature.
The tutor, Suzanne Birkett, is the author of 'The Country Diary of a Locked Down Lady'. She has taught AS level creative writing and led creative writing trips to Venice, the Brontes' Haworth, Hardy's Dorset and the Peak District among many others.
Participants should bring outdoor clothing suitable for the weather, a cushion or kneeler in a plastic bag, a notebook, a pen (and a laptop if one usually writes on a laptop) and a packed lunch including drink. Registration, refreshments from 9.00am
Tea and coffee will be available at registration
