💡 The Creative Writers Circle is a community designed to provide inspiration, support, and connection for writers of all genres and experience levels. Each month, we'll get together to:
✒️ Write on different prompts and themes 🌈 ✏️
✒️ Celebrate our recent writing accomplishments 🥳 (and commiserate about our recent writing struggles 🙈)
✒️ Give and receive feedback on our current works in progress 💌 📝
✒️ Reflect on the role creative writing plays in our lives. 😌
Whether you've been working on a novel for years 📚 or have yet to write the first word of the poem in your head 🌱, you're welcome to join this safe and supportive community of writers just like you.
🙂 Note: Meeting facilitation will be in English, with opportunities for writing and discussion in English or Romanian.

🎒 What to bring?
A pen and notebook (or whatever you use to write) and a short excerpt of a work in progress you'd like to read aloud for feedback from the group (optional).
🙋 Facilitator: Anthony Sorge is a writer and Education Studio volunteer with twenty years of experience teaching English language and literature. He believes in the power of writing, reflection, and relationality to help make the world a more peaceful place.

Theme: Making your voice heard
This month we'll focus on perspective and point of view. Who is the narrator of your story? Who is the speaker in your poem? How can we turn up the volume on that voice? Bring a short sample of your recent writing and try adding some more personality to your point of view, or come prepared to write something new!
☀️ 24th of May
Theme: Attention to detail
This month we'll take a zoomed-in and zoomed-out look at detail and description. We'll think about how much we want to put on the page and how much to leave to our audience's imagination. Bring a short sample of your recent writing that you can experiment with cutting back and bulking up, or come prepared to write something new!
☀️ 21st of June
Theme: Genre-bending
This month we'll explore different genres--especially those we tend to avoid in our own writing. We'll discuss the conventions of various genres and we'll see what happens when we apply these conventions to our own work. Bring a short sample of your recent writing that you can try transforming with a genre makeover, or come prepared to write something new!
