We’re excited to be part of this year’s Being Human: Festival of the Humanities (7–16 November). Being Human is the UK’s national festival of the humanities, led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy. Browse the full #BeingHuman2024 programme now: https://beinghumanfestival.org/festival-events What was life like for young women and girls in Worcester in the past? What sorts of jobs did they have, and what would they have been expected to do at home? How did they have fun? We’ll be exploring the answers to these questions at an interactive, history and crafting workshop, as part of the Being Human Festival. At this event, you’ll be able to find out about life in Tudor House in the sixteenth, nineteenth, and early twentieth century and try your hand at heritage crafts including weaving, rag-rugging and ‘make do and mend’ activities.
The event is free but booking is essential as spaces are limited, and places are open to those aged 16 to 25.
