Empire’s Comics Vault celebrates the region’s creative women with the return of its mini-convention, Creative Woman Mini-Con (CWMC), on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. at 1120 Fulton Ave., Suite K, in Sacramento. The event is free to attend. This will be our first in-person mini-con since before the pandemic.Twelve exhibitors will show their art, writing, and crafts. Among them are seven returning exhibitors and four new. The mini-convention provides creatives who are new to promoting themselves the opportunity to connect with the community and other, more experienced creatives.
“Through the Creative Women Mini-Con we’ve helped creatives who’ve never shown their work to learn the ropes of exhibiting at a con, connecting with an audience, and to just get comfortable promoting themselves,” said Ben Schwartz, Empire’s Comics Vault’s owner. “And best of all, we get to promote creativity in Sacramento. In fact, some first-time attendees of the mini-con later exhibited at major comic conventions.”
Empire’s Comics Vault launched Creative Women Mini-Con in 2013. This is the event’s 9th year–and our first in-person mini-convention since the COVID-19 Pandemic. Admission is free. The official hashtags are #CreativeWomen25 and #CWMC25.
