About this Event
Drop in once a month to Royal Cornwall Museum for creative activities and a cup of tea. Bring your own creative projects or join in with ours. This group is open to all adults who may benefit from a calm and creative space.
The group takes place on the first Wednesday of each month 3 - 4pm, meet at the front desk. Free teas and coffees provided.
2024/25 programme:
Wednesday 7th August - Sketching from the stores
Have a go at sketching, inspired by artworks from the museum stores.
Wednesday 4th September - Abstract Portraits
Have a go at portraits in lots of different ways - please do bring any pictures of your own to work from, of yourself or others!
Wednesday 2nd October - Watercolour water scenes
It's in the name! Have a go at making your own watercolour scenes.
Wednesday 6th November - In the Style of Brian Pearce
Let's take a closer look at paintings by Cornish artist Brian Pearce and try a hand at our own.
Wednesday 4th December- Collage Holidays Cards
Let's get stuck in with some collage this December and rustle up some cards.
Wednesday 8th January - Creative Writing from paintings (Note this is 8th January and not the 1st!)
Have a go at some creative writing inspired by artworks around us - what will inspire you?
Wednesday 5th February - Still Life Sketching
We will set up our own still life to paint or draw.
Wednesday 5th March - Spring Monoprinting
As spring arrives, we will be monoprinting the flowers and nature around us.
