About the Speakers:
is the Co-founder and Partner of Nonfiction Design, a boutique industrial design, engineering, and architecture firm that creates products of the future. Nonfiction has created products like Jaza (solar batteries), cooling design for Intel computers, Somnee sleep device, Amira wearable for menopause symptoms, Pillbot telemedicine capsule, Cala tremor-stopping wearable, and the famous Human Headphones and Halo Neuro. Phnam is also an atelier-trained leather worker (Eternal Luxe), a space architect who was trained at the first ever program for this discipline, a TEDx speaker, and a former Adjunct Professor at California College of the Arts.
is the Co-founder and CEO at Astreas, scientific solutions to build healthy eating habits for life. They are redefining the multi-sensory pleasure of food in space. One of their products is chocolate truffles for astronauts. is a Chinese curator and tool maker at the Asian Art Museum based in San Francisco. She builds artifacts and design experiences to facilitate creative expression and critical introspection. Her art work has been exhibited internationally and covered in the media including BBC and Core77, and her academic research has been presented at UIST and CHI. She received a MS on human robot interaction from Yale University and a MFA on interactive design from Carnegie Mellon University.
