The Art & Soul Creative Reconnection Retreat in the heart of the French Countryside is happening again in Summer 2025!By using creativity as a powerful tool on your spiritual journey you are invited to ‘birth your imagination’ and give yourself the opportunity to co-create your life in a meaningful way.
Throughout the retreat we will be weaving contemplative and creative paths by combining carefully chosen art activities with healing, meditation and ceremonies designed to push boundaries and explore new ways of seeing and being. Art and mindfulness are used as a portal into the shadow, giving one an opportunity to heal childhood triggers and release trauma; the way of the spirit becomes the doorway to the light that opens connection to your unique soul through art and imagination.

* En Plein Air Oil painting inspired by nature and light using Monet's limited palette

* Ancient walking meditation to connect the energy centers

* Create your own mandala: a personal work of harmony, integration and transformation
* Smoke drawing and fire ceremony to remove patterns that numb the heart
* Sage smoking ceremony to clear traumatic debris from the body

This creative retreat is suitable for people with no art experience whatsoever as well as more seasoned artists and meditators who wish to explore and expand their own personal practices. We will have fun with colour and play with different techniques in various mediums to create unique take-home artworks!
It is important to note that there will be plenty of time to also just 'be' and that all activities are optional. If on a particular day you feel the call of the pool lounger and your favourite book, then that is also perfectly fine.
Days at SolHenge start with a self-serve breakfast in the large converted barn...Healthy fruit, cereal and yoghurt etc along with wafts of hot pain au chocolat and coffee to get you going.
Art activities take place en plein air from 10am to 1pm when we break for a delicious meal under the trees prepared by our genius chef Fiona. Nothing quite like fresh organic produce straight from the farm! Not to mention the cheese! Please do let us know if you have vegan or special dietary requirements so that we can plan a special menu for you.
Afternoons can be spent relaxing by the pool, exploring the farm forest, working on your art works, journaling or taking a tour of local wine farm or choclatier. If you have hired a car or wish to take a train into Bourdeaux to look at an art gallery or 'fait le shopping', that is also an option.
Late afternoon, there is either a ceremony or activity to usher in the evening, followed by another meal prepared by our chef. The day is brought to a close by another beautiful guided meditation or breathwork by Sarita.
This experience will allow you to drop into energetic practices which will open you up to true presence and creative flow…You will be doing so much more than painting en plein air!
