???? ???? ?????? ??? ?? ?????? ???????:

Saturday the 22nd of October

2pm - 5pm

Meeting on the Corner of Swanston St & Collins St, until moving to Hermès' store.

Hermès store: 71 Collins St, Melbourne, VIC 3000

????

Luxury fashion brand Hermès are brutally slaughtering crocodiles to use their skins for designer bags and other luxury items.

Despite having a natural lifespan of 70 years old, in the commercial industry crocodiles are brutally slaughtered at just 2-3 years old, with up to four crocodiles being required to make just one Hermès Birkin bag. These bags can sell for tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars.

In other words – our native icons are being turned into handbags to cater for the richest 1% of the world.

With so many sustainable and animal friendly alternatives available, there is no need for fashion houses to harm animals in the production of their clothing and accessories. We are asking for an end to Hermès crocodile cruelty, demanding they #dropcroc from their collections, in favour of protecting precious wildlife from cruelty and suffering.

??? ???????:

To peacefully and safely raise public awareness of Hermès’ plans to massively expand its cruel farming of Australian crocodiles and call on Hermès to end the cruelty and commit to plant-based and synthetic alternatives.

???? ??? ????:

• Please no aggressive language or signage - for example ‘death to Hermes’

• For a consistent look and feel across the day, please wear unbranded, all black clothing

????????? ??????? ??? ???:

• Hermes it’s time to #DROPCROC

• Crocodiles are the real fashion victims

• End wildlife trade

• Animals are not ours to wear

• Three crocodiles die for one Hermès bag

• Crocodiles are not handbags
