About this Event
You’re invited to a heart-centered art workshop created especially for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) moms and their little ones — a soft space to slow down, connect, and express yourself through creativity.
Whether you're navigating the tender early days of motherhood or further along your journey, this is a gentle space to slow down, connect, and create in community.
This gathering honours the beauty and complexity of being a mother when care, rest, and connection matter most. Come as you are, with your baby in arms*, your toddler at your side*, or simply yourself.
What’s Included:
- Art activities for both mothers (see example below) and hand drawn Rasm Print Creations colouring pages for children
- All supplies provided — no prep needed, just come as you are
- Refreshments to enjoy while you create
- Thoughtfully curated goodie bags for each ticket holder
This is a space to feel seen, supported, and inspired — whether you stay the full time or drop in when it feels right.
A portion of ticket sales from this art workshop will be donated to Nisa Foundation. We also welcome physical donations of:
-women's sanitary products
-women's toiletries
-diapers
-baby wipes
This event is proudly sponsored by Rebecca Stanisic, Chez Kwetu, Barrhaven Bakes, Nonnas Famous Pizza, Nourish the Yin, and the City of Ottawa.
*Please note: we ask that you register your child(ren) if you choose to bring them to ensure we have enough toys, snacks and activities for the littles.
